Description
“Last Light at Eureka Dunes” was created in Death Valley National Park. The Eureka Dunes are an enormous dune field tucked in a natural bowl-shaped valley surrounded on three sides by tall mountains. The dunes have been measured at over 600 feet in height at times. The last rays of sunlight before the sun sets behind the mountains to the west are gently illuminating the highest peaks of the dunes while the mountains in the background have already fallen into shadow. The fine texture of the sand in this print is often confused for snow.
