Dolly Sods in West Virginia is a unique location in that the flora and fauna is more likely to be found in sub-arctic Canada than it is in the United States. Red Spruce trees bent by the constant winds and Huckleberry or Blueberry bushes that don’t grow much taller than waist high due to the same winds, blanket the ground amongst exposed boulders that make hiking through the area difficult. For a few short weeks in early autumn, the leaves on the bushes turn the most amazing shade of red you’ve ever seen. You have to act quickly to catch the color, however, as freezing temperatures come early at 4000 feet altitude, and the fierce winds will strip the leaves off the bushes by mid-October.

“Autumn Blueberries” was created on October 4, 2020.

The print is made on Epson Legacy Etching fine art paper and the image size is 22×29 inches. The frame is approximately 31×38 inches and is 1.5-inch matte black wood. The print is matted with a double mat of 4-ply archival white cotton rag. The glazing is Acrylite acrylic, so there is no risk of glass breaking during shipment. The print is protected with Hahnemuhle Protective Spray. This fully archival product will bring enjoyment for generations.

This limited edition print comes with a numbered hologram on the back of the print. A Certificate of Authenticity with a matching numbered hologram is included. The edition is registered at and is strictly limited to 18 prints.
